Alexsandra and Chris were eternally bound to each other before they were even married. “We have a daughter together,so we were already committed!” laughs Alexsandra, “The wedding was so we could make it legal and have a party to celebrate!” With little Vienna at their side, this trio said I do in a beautiful backyard ceremony surrounded by their dearest family and friends.
Did anything come as a surprise to you on your day?
Alex: I think what came as the biggest surprise to me was how present I was able to be throughout the whole day. So many people had warned me about how the day would fly by, so I consciously tried to take in every part of the day so I would really remember it. Thankfully, I was really able to do that.
What was most important to you when planning your wedding?
The most important thing for us was to create a wedding that felt like one big party. We didn’t want it to feel too formal or serious, we just wanted to have a party to celebrate our families coming together. So, getting a great band for everyone to dance to was really important. Also, the choice of who was going to officiate was really important because we didn’t want the ceremony to feel too heavy. Fortunately, we chose an amazing band and an incredible officiant who both really made the party.
I consciously tried to take in every part of the day so I would really remember it.

What moment from your day stands out the most in your memory?
Alex: I have so many memories that stand out, but probably the one that stands out the most were the moments before I walked down the aisle. Our 15-month-old daughter, Vienna, walked down with her 14-year-old twin cousins Leah and Waiaina guiding her. She walked down the aisle to the Three Dog Night song, “Mama Told Me Not To Come.” I couldn’t see her the whole way down the aisle but I heard and saw everyone smiling and laughing watching her. And then of course it was my turn to walk down with my dad.
We didn’t want it to feel too formal or serious, we just wanted to have a party to celebrate our families coming together.
