Puffs of white clouds dotted bright blue skies and the sun shimmered on Mariel and Jamie’s day. Golden hour struck during the ceremony, casting a golden light across the meadow as they exchanged vows. With such an idyllic setting, and the support of family and friends all around them, Mariel and Jamie were bound to have a day as perfect as they come.
What was the first wedding planning decision you made?
Our first decision was to get married in the Hamptons so that our friends and family could experience a place special to us but not too far away from our home in NYC.
Did you learn anything about yourselves or each other throughout the planning process?
The way we balance each other really manifested itself during the wedding process and made us realize just what a great team we are during life’s happiest moments… and the extremely stressful ones.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
No – and we are so lucky to feel that way!
Where did you go for inspiration?
Our genius vendors – especially Ron Wendt Design! Our planner, Sofia Crokos, created a Pinterest board based on our inspirations and it guided us through the entire process.
The ceremony really was the most special part of the entire evening.

Do you have advice for couples on their wedding day?
Be selfish with your time on your wedding day – it goes by so quickly! Also, the bride and groom set the tone of the wedding, so focus on being the happiest versions of yourselves and everything will be perfect.
What moment from your day stands out the most in your memory?
Mariel: When Jamie kissed me under the chuppah – the ceremony really was the most special part of the entire evening. Also, crowd surfing at our afterparty was pretty much my version of heaven on earth.
Jamie: Kissing Mariel after breaking the glass, and being introduced for the first time as a married couple with hundreds of our closest friends and family going crazy on the dance floor!
