I thought back to us as kids in college and just couldn't believe it was our wedding day... And then I thought, "let's get this party started!"

ALYSSA: We met freshman year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison 10 years ago! I remember our immediate chemistry. I remember how much he made me laugh – I thought he was so funny (and still do)! We had a shared love for film and our early moments spent together were watching movies in each other’s dorm rooms.
COREY: I remember meeting Alyssa at my friend’s dorm the first few nights of college. Her sense of humor and wittiness caught my attention immediately!
ALYSSA: I thought back to us as kids in college and just couldn’t believe it was our wedding day. I felt so grateful knowing that this was the moment our love story was always leading towards. And then I thought, “let’s get this party started!”
COREY: Excited that my best friend was about to become my wife!
ALYSSA: Compassion. Corey’s heart is so pure, it’s what I admire most about him. He has an infectious warmth that people instantly connect with. I don’t think there’s one person on this planet who has anything bad to say about him! His effortless sense of good pushes me to be a more kind and selfless person.
COREY: That love is the greatest power of happiness. As I said in my vows, “I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out. I love you for opening my eyes to see life so differently and clearly. You bring the utmost joy to my life. You see the best in me. You are my voice and my strength. Alyssa, you have taught me so much these past years about how to love and how to be loved that all I want is to be in love with you forever.”
The first look was definitely a highlight. I always had a picture of how it would go in my head and how beautiful Alyssa would look, but when I turned the corner to see Alyssa standing there in her wedding dress, I was absolutely blown away. That moment, the feeling and how beautiful Alyssa looked were each unimaginable.

We are New Yorkers, born and raised, so we always knew we’d pick something in NYC. Cipriani is iconic!

ALYSSA: Hiring our wedding planner, Eyal Tessler! I met him years prior at my best friend’s wedding and we bonded – I was so impressed by him. I wasn’t even engaged yet and I remember telling him that night: “you are going to plan my wedding!” Having Eyal in the driver’s seat made the entire process seamless, stress-free and, most importantly, FUN. I am typically very organized, but there are SO many details that need to be coordinated if you want a perfect night. By relinquishing control to Eyal and his partner Karina, we were able to be fully present on our wedding day and enjoy each moment without any pressure!
COREY: My easiest decision was to give Alyssa the freedom to create her dream wedding. She has great taste, so I had no doubts giving her the reigns.
ALYSSA & COREY: Our most difficult decision was figuring out what we wanted our first drinks to be 🙂

ALYSSA: I was giddy with excitement. I felt really present and at peace – like I was exactly where I was meant to be. The belly of our chuppah was filled with fresh green and white flowers and I’ll remember that smell forever – it’s as if we were inside of a garden.
COREY: I felt like a man on top of the world. Walking out and seeing our family and friends there to celebrate with us gave me utmost excitement to stand under the chuppah, to look into Alyssa’s eyes and to recite my vows.
ALYSSA & COREY: We like to think that the entire wedding was uniquely us. We were thoughtful in incorporating personal elements in both subtle and overt ways that I think really resonated with guests. The decor was absolutely captivating and like nothing we’ve ever seen before. And, you couldn’t replicate the energy you felt in that room – the love was incredibly palpable and the party was nonstop.
ALYSSA: Our first dance was DEFINITELY a highlight! We had so much fun putting the routine together and we practiced over and over up until our wedding day. It felt like a special surprise for our guests and the crowd went wild! I’m so proud of how we pulled it together and performed. It was such a thrilling moment to share together — our first as husband and wife!

ALYSSA & COREY: “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The lyrics tell our love story and we knew we’d have fun dancing to it. And, we love how it is a duet. Everytime we hear it, it feels like we’re singing to each other!
