On Memorial Day weekend of 2016, Aaron and Shoshana spent the entire afternoon together on Aaron’s boat. After hours of cruising around the waters, they began to head back to Aaron’s house. As they approached, Shoshana noticed a banner was hanging off the balcony with a certain question printed across it. Suddenly Aaron was down on one knee, asking her to be his wife. Shoshana hadn’t been expecting the proposal at all. “I almost passed out,” she recalls. “Our families ran outside screaming. They really pulled it off – I was totally shocked!” Their wedding at The Plaza Hotel turned out to be equally memorable; an epic celebration of their love for one another and the joining of their families.

Q3

Which aspect of your wedding was the most unique?

I think my ceremony room. It felt like a dream while I was standing under the chuppa.

Q4

Did anything surprise you?

I guess I was surprised how calm I was the day of the wedding and while getting ready. It didn’t hit me until we were walking towards each other for our first look!

Q5

What moment from your day stands out the most in your memory?

Walking down the aisle toward the love of my life, with my parents by my side, surrounded by our closest friends and family. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!

It felt like a dream while I was standing under the chuppa.

Shoshana

We really wanted the night to reflect us from decor to music to food and be as REAL as possible.

Q7

What aspects of your wedding most reflected your personality?

Everything I think. Aaron and I were super involved in the planning and we really wanted the night to reflect us from decor to music to food and be as real as possible.

Q8

Shoshana, which quality do you most admire about Aaron?

Aaron is the most giving person I’ve ever met – and I don’t just mean with physical things. He is giving with his heart and soul. He is just so genuine and a REALLY good person. He teaches and influences me everyday.

Q9

Aaron, which quality do you most admire about Shoshana?

Shosh always encourages me with anything I do and really makes me a better person. I love her warmth, she is my home.

Q10

Were there any specific family or cultural traditions that were important to you during wedding planning?

Aaron is Persian and I am half Israeli and half Syrian, so we wanted to include traditions from each culture for not only our wedding but my bridal shower as well.

Q11

Is there anything you would do differently?

Nothing.

I love her warmth, she is my home.
